Damp problems are usually caused by:
•Rising damp is water rising by capillary action,
either due to a a damaged damp course or no damp course at all.
•Water Ingress is water entering the building from above the
damp course due to a faulty roof, brickwork defects, faulty guttering
or leaking plumbing.
•Condensation due to poor insulation, poor ventilation, or water vapour
released from some heaters. |

Damp can be a problem in some houses. It
can result in the growth of moulds and fungi, damage to the
interior (and sometimes the exterior too), wood rot, and
damage to the structure of the building. The first signs of
damp are usually quite visible. Do you have condensation on
your windows, fungus or mould growing on your walls, floors or
furniture, visible wet spots on walls and ceilings, rotting
carpets and an unmistakably musty smell throughout the house?
